Code Club is a programme run by the Raspberry Pi Foundation. It is a part of a growing worldwide movement that is working to put the power of computing and digital making into the hands of people all over the world.

[Note: The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a British charity and company founded in 2009 to promote the study of basic computer science in schools, and is responsible for developing the Raspberry Pi single-board computers. ]

It works with a global community of volunteers, educators, and partners who run free Code Clubs where 9 to 13-year-olds build and share their ideas.

There are currently over 13000 clubs in more than 160 countries, supporting over 180000 young people learning to code each week.

It’s projects have been translated into 28 languages. It works closely with Code Club partners in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, France, New Zealand, Spain, South Korea, and Ukraine to reach more young people and grow our community of educators and volunteers.

So if you have code club in your school, you can avail lots of benefits as mentioned below:

Access to lots of Projects

The fundamental benefit of Code Club is to have access of lots of projects. These projects are made up using Scratch, micro:bit, Python and lot many more technologies. Surprisingly, these projects are developed by the students themselves.

Free Resources

These projects are actually step-by-step guides that help young people to make their own games, animations, and websites with code.

The projects introduce coding concepts one by one and let young people progressively build their knowledge. Adults running the clubs don’t need to be experienced coders, and many volunteers in our community enjoy learning coding alongside their club members.

Club leaders and volunteers can access lots of useful resources, such as downloadable certificates and posters, and our team provides help and support through online workshops, community events, and an online help desk.

Training & Events

Throughout the year, lot many training and events are organized by Code Club. Some events are online too. So the faculties and students can participate and expand their knowledge.
