As a parents and teachers, we are always worried about the screen-time of our children.  Now somewhere we have to accept that we cannot reduce the screen-time of our children, due to their exposure on social media and other platforms. But we can make it productive! Yes, we can direct our students to some content where his/her knowledge or awareness gets richer. 

Audio-visual content is becoming more popular compare to traditional content. YouTube is the medium where people come to know / learn new things. We can harness it’s capabilities.

We are going to talk here the three excellent YouTube channels for your children, where they not only engage themselves productively in various subjects like science, history, geography and many more, but they will also given (automatically by YouTube itself) exposure to newer or similar videos of learning. They’re:

  2. What If
  3. Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell 
 

1. TedEd:

This channel is TED-Ed’s commitment to creating lessons worth sharing is an extension of TED’s mission of spreading great ideas. Within TED-Ed’s growing library of TED-Ed animations, you will find carefully curated educational videos, many of which represent collaborations between talented educators and animators nominated through the TED-Ed website (ed.ted.com).

2. What If:

An epic exploration of possibilities.

3. Kurzgesagt – In a Nutshell:

It is a Germany based YouTube channel. where lot’s of concepts are explained in a simple and animated stories. They believe that nothing can be boring if it’s told as an interesting story. An epic exploration of possibilities. See here the sample video of Time: The History & Future of Everything.
